BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College continues its look back at the 2015-16 athletic campaign with a look at the games that just missed the Top 10 Exciting Games with the Best of the Rest.

BASEBALL vs. Rutgers-Camden on April 26, 2016

The Greyhounds rallied from an 8-1 deficit with nine runs in the fifth and sixth innings to post a 10-8 victory over Rutgers-Camden at Gillespie Field. Junior center fielder Anthony Gaetaniello started the rally with a two-RBI triple in the fifth inning, and senior first baseman Charles Savite hit an RBI single in the sixth inning to put Moravian ahead for good. The victory was part of a four-game winning streak for the Hounds, who won seven of eight games to end the regular season and clinch a berth in the 2016 Landmark Conference Semifinal series.

FOOTBALL vs. Gettysburg College on October 31, 2015

The Hounds jumped out to a 21-0 lead thanks to a pair of blocked punts by junior linebacker Edward Delia in the opening 5:15 on the way to defeating Gettysburg College, 35-32, to move to 7-1 on the season for the first time since 2004. Junior quarterback Mike Hayes was 23-for-30 in the game for 241 yards and three touchdowns while junior running back Chris Negron had 139 yards and a score on 37 carries as he went over 1,000 yards for the season.

WOMEN'S SOCCER at Drew University on October 31, 2015

Moravian scored four second half goals including the tying goal in the 88th minute to earn a 4-4 tie at Drew University and earn a berth in the Landmark Conference Semifinals on the final day of the regular season. After falling behind 2-0 in the first half, junior forward Hanna LaFronz and sophomore defender Lauren Bertucci scored in the first 3:52 of the second half to tie the match. LaFronz scored again in the 59th minute to knot the score at 3-3 while senior midfielder Catherine Lamplugh found the net with just 2:22 remaining in regulation to tie the match again and force overtime. The Greyhounds stopped the only two shot attempts by the Rangers in the extra 20 minutes of action.

GOLF hosts Moravian Spring Invitational on April 5, 2016

The Greyhounds posted a school record low team score of 291 while winning first place at the Moravian College Spring Invitational at the Woodstone Country Club. Junior Dan Leppert won medalist honors with a career low and even par round of 72, winning on a tiebreaker over sophomore Tyler Smith and a player from Cabrini College who also shot rounds of 72. Senior Jim Maru fired a round of 73 and sophomore Kevin Kunkle added a 74 to the low team score to give the Hounds a win by 14 strokes as Moravian won its third straight tournament to open the spring portion of the season.

SOFTBALL vs. Eastern University on April 21, 2016

Sophomore Josie Novak recorded a career high and school record 16 strikeouts in the opening game, and she added five more strikeouts in a relief appearance in the second game as the Greyhounds swept a non-conference doubleheader versus Eastern University, 2-1 and 9-5. The doubleheader sweep gave Moravian a 16-game winning streak and improved the team's record to 27-3 with the squad ranked No. 19 in the nation at the time. Novak surpassed the single game record of two-time All-American Meagan Hennessey '06, who hit 15 strikeouts in a game twice in her career.

WOMEN'S LACROSSE vs. Hood College on February 27, 2016

Moravian scored five goals in the second half to post an 11-10 win over Hood College as the Greyhounds played their first varsity match since 2010. Freshman attack Jillian Picciuto led Moravian with a hat trick while freshman midfielder Alexia Johnston had two goals and two assists. Freshman midfielder Eileen Rolwood added two goals and an assist while freshman attack Jessica Pisano netted two goals. Freshman goalie Kelly Gavin had seven saves in the victory. The two squads traded goals early before Moravian moved ahead, 5-3; however, Hood had a 7-6 lead at halftime. The Greyhounds would score five of the first six goals in the second half to build an 11-8 lead with 9:33 to play, and then hold on for the 11-10 win.
