TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian College men's and women's indoor track & field teams have had a total of 24 student-athletes honored by the Landmark Conference for their performances at the 2017 Landmark Championships last Saturday hosted by Susquehanna University.
Sixth-year Head Coach Jesse Baumann and his staff of assistant coaches – Jonathan D'Ottavio (throws), Bill Ferguson (jumps), Steve Rahn (sprints/hurdles), Michael El Kazzaz (pole vault), Ryan Sickler (hurdles/jumps) and Chelsea Bortz (jumps) earned Men's Coaching Staff of the Year honors as they led the men's squad to its eighth straight Landmark title and ninth overall Landmark Indoor championship in the 10-year history of the conference. The Hounds won by 37 points over Susquehanna.

The men's team had 12 student-athletes earn 15 All-Conference honors. Leading the Hounds with individual Landmark All-Conference First Team honors was freshman Billy DiLolle, who won the 60-meter dash and joined with seniors Austin Gardener and Jamil Poole and sophomore Chris Antoine to win the 4x200-meter relay. Sophomore John Spirk defended his title in the 60-meter hurdles while senior Kyle Hagerty captured the long jump, senior Greg Cahill won the shot put and sophomore Scott Goodwin took first in the pole vault.
Garnering Landmark All-Conference Second Team finishes were Cahill in the 35-pound weight throw, freshman Roland Cash and Spirk, senior Cory Taggert and juniors Mike Kopach and Andrew Mitchell in the 4x400-meter relay.
The women's squad finished second to Elizabethtown College by four points at the meet this past Saturday. The Greyhounds had 12 student-athletes garner 15 All-Conference nods.
Senior Meg Brockett took home two Landmark All-Conference First Team honors from her wins in the 3,000 and 5,000 meter runs for the second straight winter. Also earning First Team honors for the second straight year by defending titles were senior Kiara Bright in the triple jump for a second straight year, juniors Casie Cronk in the high jump, Beth Ann Davies in the pole vault, and Melissa Cheong in the long jump and sophomore Amari Schooler in the 60-meter hurdles.
The Hounds also had eight student-athletes named to the Landmark All-Conference Second Team including Cheong in the high jump, senior Jackie Finnegan in the 20-pound weight throw, senior Rebecca Flitcroft in the 60-meter hurdles, junior Carly Thorpe in the triple jump and the quartet of Cronk, sophomore Anna Osman and freshmen Lily Cooper and Carly Danoski in the 4x400-meter relay.
The Greyhounds will compete at the ECAC Indoor Championships on Friday and Saturday, March 3 and 4 at Ithaca College.
