Mark Will-Weber - New Moravian Hall of Fame Inductee

Mark Will-Weber will be inducted into the Moravian College Hall of Fame on November 3, 2017.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Mark Will-Weber, a former head men's and women's cross country coach and assistant men's and women's track & field coach, is being inducted into the Moravian College Athletic Hall of Fame on November 3, 2017 in Johnston Hall beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Will-Weber served as Head Men's Cross Country Coach at Moravian from 1987 through 2005 and Head Women's Cross Country Coach from 1992 to 2005. He was also an assistant track & field coach during his tenure. Will-Weber led the women's cross country program to ten consecutive Middle Atlantic Conference Championships from 1993 through 2002, and the squad won three NCAA Division III Mideast Regional titles in 1993, 2000 and 2001 while running as a team for nine consecutive years at the NCAA Division III National Championships. Will-Weber had six of those nine national qualifying teams finish in the top 10 in the nation including third place finishes in 1993, 1995 and 2001. The women's program had 54 NCAA Division III All-Mideast Region competitors, three regional champions and 11 All-Americans under Will-Weber.

In his tenure with the men's program, Will-Weber guided the Greyhounds to 46 wins in 70 dual meets and six straight MAC titles from 1993 through 1998. He also had 19 men earn NCAA Division III All-Mideast Region honors and four go on to compete at the NCAA Division III National Championships. Will-Weber was selected as the MAC Coach of the Year three times, and seven of his former runners have been inducted into the Moravian Hall of Fame.

Will-Weber is being joined by golfer Brian Bergstol '07; softball player Rosanna Azzolino Ettz '00; football standout Jarrod Pence '03; women's tennis and women's basketball player Lynne Grzywacz Webb '99 and football player and former head football coach Larry Rosati '42 in the class of 2017 that will be inducted into the Moravian College Athletic Hall of Fame. The 2001 women's cross country team that was coached by Will-Weber will also be inducted that night.
