INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The NCAA is hosting a Diversity and Inclusion Social Media Campaign from October 1-5, and student-athletes and staff from the Moravian College Department of Athletics and Recreation will be participating all week.
This campaign is a platform for student-athletes, administrators, coaches and fans across the country to start the discussion, speak out on, and promote diversity and inclusion as key elements of student-athlete success. The goal of this campaign is to use social media to create a dialogue on diversity and inclusion and to communicate the benefit of inclusive environments to the student-athlete experience.
Day one on October 1 features student-athletes being More than an Athlete while Day two is Beyond a Label. Wednesday will be the facts with diversity statistics, facts and figures while Thursday will have student-athletes talking about what diversity means to them. On Friday, the theme is I Pledge for personal action plans for inclusion.
Moravian will be posting graphics and video on its social media channels – Instagram – moravianathletics; Twitter - @MCGreyhounds and Facebook – Moravian College Athletics – throughout the week.
Use the hashtag #NCAAInclusion this week to show that inclusion is a team sport.
