Groff & Luckey Qualify for 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The Moravian University men's and women's track & field squads have had senior Lexi Groff and sophomore Jerome Luckey selected as part of the field for the 2024 NCAA Division III Men's & Women's Outdoor Track & Field National Championships that will be hosted at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on May 23-24.

Groff, who will be making her first trip to the NCAA Outdoor Championships after finishing 19th in the 2023 NCAA Division III Indoor National Championship last year, was tied for 18th in qualifying for the 22-competitor field for the high jump that will compete on Friday, May 24 at 1:30 p.m. EST. Groff recorded her qualifying and school record height of 1.68 meters (5-6) just this week on Monday, May 13 at the Widener University Final Qualifier. Just two and three-quarter inches separate the 22 competitors in the field.

Luckey, who will be competing in the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the first time after finishing 13th at the Indoor National Championship back in March, was tied for 11th in qualifying for the 22-competitor field for the high jump that will compete on Friday, May 24 at 4:00 p.m. EST. Luckey posted his qualifying height of 2.07 meters (6-9.5) on April 19 in the Coach Pollard Invitational at Timothy Breidegam Track. As the same as the women's field, just two and three-quarter inches separate the 22 competitors in the field.
