Renee Hellert is entering her second year as the Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator at Moravian College in 2020-21. 

Prior to Moravian College, Hellert spent fifteen years at New England College serving various administrative roles. Hellert started her career as the Coordinator of Support Services in 2002, then Assistant Athletic Director/Director of Sports Information in 2005 and most recently Associate Athletic Director in 2015.

In her role as Associate Athletic Director at New England College, Hellert regulated and managed team/departmental budgets, managed the operations of 18 varsity sports, assisted with administration of various special events, served as the senior compliance officer and was the direct report for five varsity programs. Hellert was also the games management supervisor and the department’s senior woman administrator.

At Moravian Hellert will focus on compliance, budgets and assist with the supervision of the coaching staff.   

Hellert has served on several conference and national committees including the NCAA DIII Women’s Ice Hockey Championship Committee, serving as the committee chair for two years, and the ECAC New England Softball Championship selection committee. Currently, Hellert is serving on the NCAA DIII Softball Championship Committee. Hellert is also a member of Women Leaders in College Sports and is a graduate of the NACWAA/Hers Institute for Administrative Advancement.

Hellert graduated from New England College in 2001 with her undergraduate degree in marketing and sport and recreation management. While at NEC, Hellert was a four-year starter on both the women’s basketball team and the softball team. She went on to earn her master’s degree in organizational management from New England College in 2002.
