Check from Spacesaver to remodel equipment room

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College athletic department received its $30,000 check Friday from the Spacesaver Corporation for winning the 2012 College Rock UR Athletic Storage Contest.

Millissa Rick, director of marketing for Spacesaver, was on hand from the company headquarters in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin to present the check to Moravian Head Equipment Manager Darren Damewood, Asssitant Equipment Manager Bill Lahouchak and Director of Athletics Scot Dapp

Diversified Storage Solutions out of Norristown, Pennsylvania, will be the local installer to work with Moravian to put in the new Spacesaver units, and Curtis Hoff, a 2002 Moravian graduate, will be the contact for the athletic department at Diversified Storage Solutions.  While a student at Moravian, Hoff was a three-year letterwinner on the Greyhounds' baseball team from 1999 to 2001 as a pitcher and outfielder.

Hoff and Damewood will begin working on the plans to renovate Moravian's equipment room in the Timothy Breidegam Field House next week and hope to have the work completed by the time the fall teams return to campus in late August.
