BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Moravian College hosted a track & field academy on Thursday afternoon for a team of 80 sixth grade students from Nitschmann Middle School in the Timothy Breidegam Fieldhouse.

Moravian student-athletes from the men's and women's track & field teams and women's tennis team, as well as the Greyhounds' track & field coaches, had the sixth graders rotate between four stations where they were taught the proper mechanics in the high jump, javelin, long jump and shot put. After a short training session, each student was given the opportunity to try the event twice with their marks recorded.

Before walking back to Nitschmann, the sixth graders received a chocolate gold medal and a certificate from Moravian stating completion of the Track & Field Academy.
