Houghton Named Fitness Center Director/Head Strength & Conditioning Coach

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College has named Zach Houghton as its new Fitness Center Director and Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Houghton comes to Moravian from Wayne State University where he has most recently worked as an assistant strength & conditioning coach and wellness coordinator. Houghton graduated from Wayne State in 2013 with a Bachelor's of Science in kinesiology, and he served both an intern and graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at the school.

"I am extremely excited and blessed to have this opportunity," Houghton said. "I am ready to come in and make a difference for the Greyhounds."

Houghton holds certifications from the United States of America Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach and the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and he is working towards certification from the Collegiate Strength and Condition Coaches Association as well as his Master's Degree in kinesiology and health studies at Wayne State.

Houghton was a four-year letterwinner as a football player at Wayne State, serving as a team captain during his senior season in 2012. He is also a four-time All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Academic award winner.
