BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College has named Josh Baltz, a 2008 Moravian graduate, as its new equipment manager effective Monday, December 22. He supervise all aspects of athletic equipment operations for the 20 Greyhound athletic teams

Scot Dapp, the Athletics Director for Moravian College said, "It is always a tough task to fill a job opening that occurs in the middle of the year, but we are very fortunate to be able to have Joshua Baltz take over as our Athletics Department Equipment Manager. He is well-qualified to step right into the job and it is always nice to welcome a Greyhound alum onto our staff."

Baltz returns to his alma mater after spending the last five years working at Muhlenberg College as an assistant baseball coach and an assistant equipment manager.

During his undergraduate career, Baltz lettered on Moravian's baseball team for three years before missing his senior campaign due to an injury. Despite only playing three seasons, Baltz collected 104 hits, the 13th player at the time to reach the milestone, and he completed his career tied for eighth in the Moravian record books with a .416 career on-base percentage. Baltz, an outfielder, was named to the Commonwealth All-Conference Second Team after his sophomore season in 2006 in which he set a then school-record with 137 at-bats.
