Baseball Ranked 29th in Latest ABCA/Collegiate Baseball Poll

ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian College baseball team has moved from receiving votes to 29th in the nation in this week's American Baseball Coaches Association/Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division III Poll released Tuesday.

The Greyhounds, who are 23-6 on the season, received 31 points in the poll, marking the first time in school history that Moravian is nationally-ranked by the ABCA. This week's poll was voted on before the Hounds defeated Kean (N.J.) University Monday afternoon. Kean is ranked eighth in this week's ABCA poll.

Moravian also owns a pair of wins this season over Heidelberg (Ohio) University, which is ranked ninth, and a victory over Adrian (Mich.) College, which received votes. The Greyhounds still have games scheduled this season with Rowan (N.J.) University, which is ranked 14th, and Alvernia University, which is receiving votes.

In this week's D3baseball.com Top 25 poll, Moravian received 33 points and was six spots outside the Top 25. That poll can be found at http://d3baseball.com/top25/2014/2014-week-8.

The Hounds are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, April 16 in a non-conference game at DeSales University beginning at 4:00 p.m.
