Greyhounds Fall to No. 19 Baldwin-Wallace

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. --- The Moravian College baseball team fell to 2-1 on the season after dropping a 6-2 decision to No. 19 Baldwin-Wallace (Ohio) College, their third nationally-ranked opponent in three days in the Snowbird Classic, at Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda, Florida Monday morning.

Freshman pitcher John Wiedmayer earned his place in Moravian record books by taking the fifth spot in strikeouts in game up with 12 in his collegiate debut, allowing just four hits and a pair of walks in the first 7.1 innings of the contest.

The Hounds had eight hits in the game with junior first baseman Charles Savite going 3-for-4 with an RBI. Senior shortstop Colin Case also had an RBI while outfielders senior Matt Hanson and Cameron Leon both had doubles on the day.
