DANBURY, Conn. --- Moravian College senior center fielder Anthony Gaetaniello has been honored on the 2017 ECAC Division III Metro Baseball All-Star First Team.
Gaetaniello adds to a growing list of postseason honors in 2017 having been named to the Landmark All-Conference First Team and the D3baseball.com All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team this spring.
He paced the Greyhounds this spring with a .404 batting average, going 55-of-136 at the plate. Gaetaniello also had 43 runs, nine doubles, a triple, a homer, 15 RBIs, 17 walks, a .481 on-base percentage and a .507 slugging percentage. Gaetaniello was 15-for-18 on stolen base attempts this spring, and he finished his career with a school record 65 stolen bases. Gaetaniello also became the fourth player to reach the 200-hit milestone as he completed this career with exactly 200 hits.
