QUAKERTOWN, Pa. --- Moravian College rising junior pitcher Rhett Jacoby has been named the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League 2017 Pitcher of the Year after spending the summer pitching for the Allentown Railers.

Jacoby posted a 5-1 regular season for the Railers, who finished in first place with a 23-9 overall record. Jacoby added 52 strikeouts and just two walks in 42 innings on the mound to go with a 2.14 ERA. Jacoby tossed the opening game of the ACBL Championship series with another nine strikeouts and one walk in a 6-2 win that helped the Railers sweep Quakertown for the team's third straight ACBL title.

Jacoby will return to the Greyhounds' line-up next spring as part of the starting rotation.
