Rhett Jacoby '19 named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team.

GREENSBORO, N.C. --- Moravian College junior pitcher Rhett Jacoby has been named to the 2018 American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team.

Jacoby adds to his honors for the spring after being named the 2018 Landmark Conference Pitcher of the Year and earning a spot on the Landmark All-Conference First Team. He is a three-time All-Landmark honoree with First Team selections in 2016 and 2018 and Second Team honors in 2017. This spring, Jacoby recorded a 5-3 mark to go along with two saves, a 2.48 ERA, two complete games, one shutout and 57 strikeouts in 72.2 innings of action, the second most in a single season in program history. Jacoby enters his senior campaign in 2019 ranked third in program history in wins with 17, fifth in strikeouts with 167 and fifth in innings pitched with 200.

“Being named All-Region is a big thing,” noted Head Coach Paul Engelhardt. “There are so many schools in our region, and so many quality pitchers. This is an honor, and I’m certain Rhett is deserving.”

Jacoby is the 12th Greyhound to earn ABCA/Rawlings All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors since the 2011 season for Coach Engelhardt.
