LA PLUME, Pa. --- The Moravian College baseball team fell to host Keystone College, 11-5, in non-conference action Wednesday afternoon.
How It Happened
- The Greyhounds scored first in the top of the first inning when sophomore second baseman Chris Pow singled with two outs and scored on an error
- The Giants would tie the game at 1-1 with a run in the bottom of the first
- Moravian moved back in front with a run in the top of the third inning when junior outfielder Robert Roman drew a leadoff walk and raced home on an RBI ground out from senior first baseman Brett Moyer
- Keystone scored in the bottom of the fourth to knot the score again at 2-2
- The Hounds pushed two runs across the plate in the top of the fifth for a 4-2 edge. Roman was hit by a pitch and scored on an RBI single by Moyer while senior outfielder Carmine Palummo reached on a fielder's choice and raced across the plate on an RBI sacrifice fly from senior outfielder Thomas Philipps
- The Giants took the lead in the bottom half of the fifth inning with four runs, and Keystone scored three more times in the sixth frame for a 9-4 edge
- Moravian scored its final run in the top of the eighth as freshman outfielder Matt Madigan hit a one-out single and scored on an RBI, pinch hit single by freshman Cole Cherkas
- Keystone finished the scoring with two runs in the home half of the eighth inning

- Moravian had eight hits from eight different players
- Roman scored a pair of runs while drawing two walks while Moyer had two RBIs
- The Greyhounds used a set pitching rotation with eight different Hounds heading to the mound. Freshman David Ciaccio had two of the team's six strikeouts in his one inning of work
