Holmes Named Landmark Conference Baseball Player of the Week - Moravian University

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University junior catcher Derek Holmes has been named as the Landmark Conference Baseball Player of the Week for his performance last week.

Holmes helped Moravian rally from a five-run deficit to post a 12-10 win over Widener University in the opening game of the team's trip to the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational Sunday. Holmes was 4-for-5 in the game with four RBIs, two runs and a homer, his second career home run. He had a pair of putouts behind the plate.

Moravian plays Calvin (Mich.) College in a doubleheader on Monday, February 28 at Northeast Regional Park in Davenport, Florida as part of the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational.
