Olsen Honored as Landmark Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University senior pitcher Eddie Olsen has been honored as the Landmark Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for his performance last week.        

Olsen posted a 1-1 record in two outings last week that included nine strikeouts in 10 innings of action. Olsen recorded a 0.90 ERA for the week while allowing one run on five hits and three walks, and he also had a pair of assists in the field. Olsen finished the week with his first career shutout, tossing a four-hitter with seven strikeouts in a 4-0, nine-inning victory over Juniata College.

"Eddie pitched a great game on Sunday, and when he's at his best, there aren't many better," noted Head Coach Paul Engelhardt. "His efforts meant a great deal toward our overall weekend and helped his team tremendously."

The Greyhounds, who are 9-6 overall and 2-1 in Landmark Conference action on the year, are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, March 23 in a non-conference game at Alvernia University beginning at 4:00 p.m.
