Coach Jon Baltz returns to the Moravian Baseball staff for his fourth year in 2017 as an assistant coach after two years as serving in the intern coaching position. Coach Baltz graduated from Moravian in 2011 after a stellar baseball career where he was a two-time Landmark All-Conference honoree. He was a 1st team member in 2010, and a 2nd team member in 2011. Coach Baltz was a part of a very successful class while at Moravian College. He helped the team win their first Championship since 1990, as the Greyhounds won the Landmark Championship in 2010. It was also the first year ever the Greyhounds appeared in the NCAA tournament. Baltz was also a member of the 2011 squad that won a school record 31 games.

During his career, Baltz was a part of a then-record 95 career wins on the baseball diamond. Baltz was captain his senior year, and was a key contributor to the success both on and off the field. He can be found in many of the record book pages. He is in the top ten in games played in a season, games played in a career, at bats in a season and career, hits in a season and career, runs scored, runs batted in, career assists and career fielding percentage. Baltz was also named to the Landmark Conference All- Academic team in 2010, and was a three time Spring Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll recipient.

Baltz came to Moravian after one year of coaching at rival Muhlenberg College where he served as the first base coach, catchers and hitting coach. He spent one year at East Stroudsburg University before that, where he coached the outfielders and hitters as well as coaching first base.

Baltz holds a degree in Psychology from the College. He resides in Easton, Pennsylvania while he currently is taking teacher certification courses.
