Jake Carr has joined the Moravian baseball coaching staff for the 2024 season as an assistant coach.

A dedicated and accomplished hitting coach, Coach Carr transitioned to West Chester University from the University of the Sciences, where he held pivotal roles as both recruiting coordinator and hitting coach for the Devils starting in 2018. His tenure at the University of the Sciences was marked by impressive achievements, including the establishment of single-season records for hits, triples, runs scored, RBIs, hit by pitches, and wins. During this time, he fostered the growth of one all-region hitter and two all-conference hitters.

Carr's impact was equally significant at West Chester University, where he honed the skills of student-athletes resulting in top 10 national rankings in batting average, stolen bases, on-base percentage, and hit by pitches. A testament to his expertise, the team achieved the second-highest OPS in NCAA BBCOR history. His tenure at West Chester led to the development of seven All-Region hitters, ten All PSAC hitters, and a Preseason All-American. Under his guidance, West Chester made it to the final four of the World Series and returned to a regional final the subsequent year.

An active member of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), Carr possesses Drive Line certification in advanced hitting techniques, reflecting his dedication to staying on the cutting edge of coaching strategies. With a wealth of six years of coaching experience, he seamlessly integrates modern technologies such as K-Vest, Blast Motion, and Rapsodo swing analyzers to optimize hitting techniques.

Prior to his role at the University of the Sciences, Carr spent a transformative year at Valley Forge Military College, where he played an integral role in developing two NJCAA All-Region hitters. Carr captained teams during his collegiate playing days at Delaware County Community College, Cumberland County College, and Ohio Valley University.

He holds an associate's degree in Liberal Arts from Delaware County College (2018) and a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from Maryville University.
