Seven Football Players Named to Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll

LANCASTER, Pa. --- Seven members of the Moravian College football team have been named to the 2013 Centennial Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll that includes 73 football players and a total of 372 student-athletes from the conference.

To be named to the Centennial Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior; a starter or key reserve, be a sophomore or higher in class standing and have a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher. The conference defines a key reserve as a student-athlete who appears in at least 50% of his or her team's contests or participates in the conference championships in Olympic sports.

The Greyhounds had two seniors on the Academic Honor Roll – offensive lineman Julian DiGiacomo and defensive back Keith Hinds. Moravian placed four juniors on the Academic Honor Roll led by defensive back Ricky Sinnig, who was also named to the 2013 All-Centennial Conference Second Team and the 2013 Capital One Academic All-District Team, along with tight end/H back Dave Givler, running back Luke Gotzon and long-snapper/linebacker Gene Molisso. Sophomore back-up quarterback Corey Clemons also earned a spot on the Academic Honor Roll for the Greyhounds.

The Greyhounds finished 2-8 overall with a 2-7 mark in the Centennial Conference.
