Football Starts 3-Game Road Trip at F&M Saturday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College football team starts a three-game road trip on Saturday, October 25 when the Greyhounds head to Franklin & Marshall College for a Centennial Conference contest kicking off at 1:00 p.m. at Sponaugle-Williamson Field in Lancaster.

The Hounds, 3-3 overall and 2-3 in Centennial Conference action, have played just twice on the road so far in 2014 and are looking for their first road win of the season. Moravian is currently fifth in the conference in total offense at 377.2 yards per game, and the Hounds are also fifth in total defense at 344.3 yards per contest.

Sophomore running back Chris Negron had his best game of the season last Saturday with 202 yards and a pair of touchdowns to move into 11th in school history with 1,661 yards. He needs just 139 yards to move into the top 10 in the Moravian record books.

Even though he has moved to defense this season, junior cornerback Jimmy McCarthy is involved all over the field. In addition to lead the Greyhounds with four interceptions, he is also serving as Moravian's punt returner, one of the kickoff returners and now the starting punter.
