Six Hounds Named to Centennial Fall Honor Roll

LANCASTER, Pa. --- Six members of the Moravian College football team have been named to the 2015 Centennial Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll that includes 112 football players and a total of 518 student-athletes from the conference.

To be named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior and have a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher.

Of the six players to be named to the list two are seniors, two juniors and two sophomores. The two seniors are defensive end Jason Borso and defensive back Anthony Orlando, while the juniors are wide receiver Jalen Snyder-Scipio and offensive lineman Andrew Cruz and the two sophomores are tight end Nick Nejad and linebacker Stanton Santos.

"This group not only works hard at what they do on the field for the program but the work they put in off of the field and I am proud of that effort," stated Head Coach Jeff Pukszyn. "They are all outstanding student-athletes and will have great careers in the future outside of the game. Anthony and Jason will always be part of our Greyhound family and will continue to represent the College after graduating, and they should be proud of the turnaround that they have been a part of with our program."

Orlando and Snyder-Scipio both made the Fall Academic Honor Roll last year, and Orlando made the Centennial All-Conference First Team and Snyder-Scipio made the All-Conference Second Team earlier this week.

The Greyhounds will head to Delaware Valley College for the Centennial-MAC Bowl game on Saturday, November 21 at 12:00 p.m. in Doylestown, Pa.
