Negron Honored on D3football.com All-South Region Third Team

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. --- Moravian College junior running back Chris Negron has been honored on the D3football.com All-South Region Third Team for his performance this season for the Greyhounds.

Negron, who was on the Centennial All-Conference Second Team in both 2014 and 2015, led the Centennial Conference in rushing with 1,425 yards this season on 272 carries with 15 rushing touchdowns, all of which rank second in a single season in the Moravian record books. He also caught 27 passes for 248 yards and another touchdown in 2015. Negron is second in school history with 3,335 rushing yards and 31 rushing touchdowns (third all-time) on 647 carries (third in school history), and he has added 43 receptions for 425 yards and three touchdowns. Negron has scored 34 career touchdowns, two shy of tying the school record, for 204 points, and he is second all-time with 3,942 all-purpose yards.

"Chris has consistently improved every year he has been in our program," commented Head Coach Jeff Pukszyn. "His work ethic is outstanding, and he has a selfless attitude which makes him a great leader on our team. I'm very proud Chris both on and off the field, and we are excited to have him for another year."

Moravian completed its 2015 season with an 8-3 overall record and a berth in the Inaugural Centennial Conference-Middle Atlantic Conference Bowl Series. The Greyhounds were just the second team in the 91-year history of the program to start a season at 8-1 and the 2015 squad was just the fifth in school history to win eight games in a season.
