Greyhound Football Fans: Parking Letter for 2016

Greyhound Football Fans: Parking Letter for 2016

Greyhound Football fans:

We welcome you to Rocco Calvo Stadium for the 2016 football season. We expect the entire Moravian College Community to join as we seek to have an outstanding season.

This parking announcement is the first of several to enhance the gameday experience for our fans. The parking plan was developed through a great collaboration between Moravian Athletics and the Moravian College administration. Parking on campus is subject to availability. Tailgating will be available on campus in parking lots A and B only and on a first arrival basis. See HERE for locations.

In order to allow for a safe experience, we are placing special emphasis on the tailgating guidelines below:

  • Access to one parking space as directed on Moravian College property only on the designated Football home game date and is void for any other event or activity.
  • Parking is subject to availability.
  • Please do not occupy another parking space with items or individuals.
  • No Mobile Homes or RVs permitted.
  • No kegs or glass containers (alcoholic or non-alcoholic)
  • No alcohol is allowed on the city streets and is restricted to only the tailgate areas.
  • No charcoal grills are permitted.
  • Do not block the lane of travel in the parking lot.
  • Fans are asked to clear tailgate areas and enter the competition area at game time.
  • No tailgating is permitted after the start of the game nor after the conclusion of the game (However, parents may feed and interact with players after the game).

Moravian College reminds all individuals participating in "tailgate parties" that Pennsylvania Title 18 Pa.C.S.A. § 6308 - Purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of liquor or malt or brewed beverages and § 6310.1 - Selling or Furnishing liquor or malt or brewed beverages to minors State Law (Act 31) prohibits the consumption or furnishing of alcoholic beverages to persons under 21 years of age. City of Bethlehem Ordinance Article 723 prohibits the consumption of any alcoholic beverage or carry or possess any opened vessel containing any alcoholic beverage on or about any public place, or in any automobile or other vehicle parked upon any public place in the City of Bethlehem. College regulations also prohibit these acts.

We ask for your cooperation by abiding by Pennsylvania State Law, City of Bethlehem Ordinance and Moravian College regulations.  College officials and law enforcement authorities will enforce the preceding regulations.

Moravian College's Department of Campus Safety & Police and/or the Department of Athletics and/or its representatives reserve the right to revoke this credential at anytime. We encourage you to arrive early for parking access.

If you choose to park on city streets or on private property, you are parking at your own risk. Moravian College assumes no responsibility for any parking violations.

We will have updates on our social media platforms @MCGreyhounds and @MoravianCollege. Saturday's kickoff is at 1:00 p.m., so please arrive on campus early, and carpool if you can.

We expect all campus parking to be full on Saturdays, so please make sure to allow plenty of time to drive to campus and locate a parking spot.

Please be in the stadium by 1:00 p.m.! Stop by the bookstore or order your gameday gear HERE.

Once in the stadium, stop by the Blue and Grey pavilion. The Blue and Grey Club provides tremendous support to all of our athletic programs and we need your membership.

Saturday's forecast is registered for 80 degrees with a slight chance of rain. Our sincere goal is to provide a safe and healthy environment for everyone. Medical personnel will be in the stadium, if you need assistance, personnel are on hand to assist.

Let's show the Lehigh Valley that Rocco Calvo Stadium can consistently be a great place to watch college football, as the environment you create greatly inspires our student-athletes to perform at the highest level! We hope you enjoy everything that our beautiful campus has to offer; I thank you for your tremendous support.

It's a great day to be a Hound!
