Greyhounds Ready to Kickoff 2016 Centennial Conference Campaign vs. McDaniel Saturday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College football team is set to open its 2016 Centennial Conference campaign on Saturday, September 10 when the Greyhounds host McDaniel College at Rocco Calvo Field. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.

The Hounds are playing their second straight home game after beginning the season last weekend with a 50-35 non-conference win over King's College. Moravian had three players hit milestones during the game as senior wide receiver Liam Nolan became the 18th player in school history to reach 1,000 career receiving yards, senior wide receiver Jalen Snyder-Scipio became the eighth player to 1,500 career receiving yards and senior quarterback Mike Hayes became the sixth quarterback to reach 4,000 career passing yards.

Sophomore Kenny Kane kicked three field goals and added five extra points in the victory with his 14 points being the second most by a kicker in a game in school history.

The defense also got into the scoring last week with senior defensive end Chuka Onukwugha scooping up a fumble caused by sophomore defensive end Josh Williams and returning it 77 yards for a touchdown.
