BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College football team closes out the first half of the its 2016 season on Saturday, October 1 with a Centennial Conference road game at Ursinus College. Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. in Collegeville.
Last Saturday, the Greyhounds earned a 24-10 win over Dickinson College to improve to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in Centennial Conference action. During the game, senior quarterback Mike Hayes became the fifth quarterback in school history to reach 5,000 passing yards for a career. Sophomore defensive back Nick Zambelli helped seal the win over the Red Devils with a pair of fourth quarter interceptions in the end zone.
The Hounds head to Ursinus looking for two more milestones. Senior running back Chris Negron needs just 14 rushing yards to break Chris Jacoubs '06 career mark of 3,854 yards while Hayes needs just two completions to to surpass Sean Keville '95 career record of 429 completions. Hayes is also two touchdown passes shy of becoming the third player in school history with 40 touchdown passes.
