DANBURY, Conn. --- Moravian College seniors linebacker Edward Delia and defensive lineman John Snyder have been honored on the 2016 ECAC Division III South All-Star Teams with Delia making the First Team and Snyder earning a spot on the Second Team.

The duo helped the Greyhounds to a 5-5 overall record this past fall, and the Hounds were 4-5 in Centennial Conference action.

The postseason honor is the third for Delia, who was also named to the Centennial All-Conference First Team and the D3football.com All-South Region Third Team. He had eight rushing attempts for 18 yards in his first two seasons.

"Ed had an exceptional senior season, playing at a high level all year long," commented Head Coach Jeff Pukszyn. " I find it impressive that this was Ed's first year as a starter and only his second season at linebacker after making the transition from tailback. His competitiveness was outstanding and I could not be more proud of his accomplishments and selfless attitude."

Snyder, who was also named to the Centennial All-Conference First Team in 2016 after three seasons as an Honorable Mention selection, recorded 54 tackles including 36 solo stops, nine tackles for loss, two sacks, an interception, four passes defended and a pair of blocked kicks. In 36 career games as a four-year starter, Snyder posted 168 tackles with 92 of them solo, 27 and a half tackles for loss which ranks fourth in school history, 10 sacks which is ninth all-time at Moravian, one interception, 10 passes defended, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and three blocked kicks.

"John was the most dominating interior defensive lineman in the conference this season," Pukszyn said. "He played the first play of a game the same as play 80. His work ethic, attitude and physical play made him a standout."
