BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College football team is set to kickoff its 2017 season on Thursday, August 31 in a non-conference game at King's College beginning at 7:00 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium in Wilkes-Barre.

The contest is one of 11 games featuring NCAA Division III teams on the opening night of the season with the Greyhounds being the first Centennial Conference squad to kickoff the season. The Monarchs are one of three Middle Atlantic Conference schools playing Thursday night.

Head Coach Jeff Pukszyn enters his seventh season leading his alma mater. The Greyhounds have 50 returning players and 14 starters back from last year's 5-5 squad; however, Pukszyn needs to find a starting quarterback and starting tailback after losing school record breakers Mike Hayes and Chris Negron to graduation.
