Brown Honored on D3Football.com Team of the Week

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. --- Moravian College senior tight end Aaron Brown has been honored on the D3football.com Team of the Week Presented by Scoutware for his performance last Saturday.

Brown caught a career-high six passes for a career-best 137 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Greyhounds' 28-21 loss to Susquehanna University. Brown's six receptions were twice as many as he had made in any previous game, and his previous career high in yardage in a game was 55 yards. The two touchdowns doubled his career total to four with three coming in 2017.

"Aaron has been a tireless worker in our program," stated Head Coach Jeff Pukszyn. "He is big target who runs pretty well and it showed on Saturday. By doing the little things during the week, it made the big things(TD's) happen on Saturday for Aaron."

Brown's first catch of the game was a 34-yard touchdown in the first quarter the tied the contest at 7-7 with 5:14 left in the period. In the second quarter, Brown had an 18-yard reception to help get Moravian into the red zone and two plays later, he caught a 16-yard scoring strike that knotted the score again, this time at 14-14 with 1:23 before halftime.

Brown had a 21-yard reception for a first down on a Greyhounds' drive midway through the fourth quarter before catching two passes on Moravian's final scoring drive. He had a 17-yard catch to move the ball passed midfield and then a 31-yard reception where he was dragged down at the one-yard line to set up the final points of the game. All six of Brown's catches went for first downs in the contest.
