Jenkins Named Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. --- Moravian University sophomore quarterback Jared Jenkins has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Greyhounds' 43-28 victory over Gettysburg College Saturday afternoon.

Jenkins made his home debut as a Greyhound a memorable one with touchdown passes on the Hounds' first four drives as well as a touchdown run as the Blue and Grey jumped out to a 34-7 halftime lead on the way to the win over Gettysburg at Rocco Calvo Field. Jenkins completed 18-of-24 passes for 321 yards to go with his four touchdowns that covered 21, 40, 77 and 4 yards, and he also ran for 43 yards and a score on 16 rushing attempts.

"Jared did a great job running our offense yesterday," commented Head Coach Jeff Pukszyn. "He did an outstanding job distributing the ball around and extended plays with his feet as well."

Moravian, which is 1-1 overall and 1-0 in Centennial Conference action, is scheduled to travel to No. 24 Susquehanna University on Saturday, September 17 for a Centennial Conference game kicking off at 1:00 p.m. in Selinsgrove.
