Seven Greyhounds Earn Spots on 2022 Centennial Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll

LANCASTER, Pa. --- Seven members of the Moravian University football team have earned spots on the 2022 Centennial Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll that includes 180 football players among the 862 student-athletes honored by the conference.

To be named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing and have a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher.

The Greyhounds had one senior named to the Academic Honor roll in defensive lineman Javi Espinal-Katz. Moravian had three juniors – defensive back Ben Carlin, linebacker Nick Levinski, and wide receiver Joseph Walker and three sophomores – quarterback Jared Jenkins, defensive lineman Mason Zimmerman and defensive lineman Prince Sokpo also named to the Academic Honor Roll.

Espinal-Katz was selected to the 2022 Centennial All-Sportsmanship Team after recording 43 tackles with six for loss, three and a half sacks and one pass break-up. Levinski led Moravian's defense with 74 tackles including six tackles for loss, one sack, two quarterback hurries, a pass break-up and a forced fumble while Jenkins was 41-for-73 for 592 yards with five touchdowns and three interceptions to go with 36 rushing yards and a touchdown on 42 attempts through three games before a season-ending injury. Sokpo contributed 12 tackles with a half a tackle for loss and a pass break-up while Zimmerman had two stops with a half a tackle for loss. Walker did not appear in a game this fall, and Carlin missed the entire season with an injury.

The Greyhounds finished 3-7 overall and were 3-6 in the Centennial Conference, the squad's last as an associate member of the conference.
