Why did you choose Moravian College?

Moravian College felt like home from the first time I stepped on campus. Everybody was incredibly friendly and I could tell there was a strong sense of community.

What is your major and why?

Health Sciences, pursuing a track in Physical Therapy. I have had my fair share of injuries throughout my football career, so I’ve been around the profession and developed a strong interest in it. Ultimately, I want to be able to give back and help athletes overcome adversity like others have done for me.

What has been your favorite course at Moravian and why?

Anatomy & Physiology I. The course is challenging but rewarding, and I am fascinated by the complexity of the human body.

What are your plans for the future once you finish your degree at Moravian?

I plan becoming a graduate student at Moravian College and earning my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. My dream is to become a physical therapist for a professional sports team.

What is your most memorable moment as a Greyhound?

My first collegiate start as a freshman against King’s College. The highlight of that game was my first reception, which went for 28 yards.

How has being an athlete helped you as a student and in the classroom?

Football has taught me how to be disciplined, hardworking, and goal-oriented, and I apply all of these traits to my life on the field and in the classroom.

What is the hardest part of your sport?

Definitely the hardest part of football is training camp, which lasts two and a half weeks during the dead heat of August.

Why do you wear your jersey number?

I wear #49 on the field. The number was given to me when I came in freshman year and has little meaning to me, but I have grown fond of it over the last two years.

Name one obstacle or form of adversity you have had to overcome.

Tearing my ACL twice in the same knee, back to back seasons. The road to recovery is long and grueling, but I have matured greatly from it and learned to appreciate the little things in life because they can be taken away from you in the blink of an eye.

Why is community service important to your role as a student-athlete at Moravian College?

For my community service, I belong to a program known as the 5 Star Heart Project in which I mentor football players from local middle schools. I find my role as a mentor incredibly important because I know I have the opportunity to leave an imprint on these kids’ lives and share knowledge/experiences with them that can not only make them a better player, but a better overall person.

What advice do you have for a prospective Moravian College student-athlete?

You’re not just joining another sports team when you come to Moravian, you’re becoming a member of the Greyhound family.
