Why did you choose Moravian College?

I felt like Moravian was the best fit for me. I liked the coaches, players and students that I met on my visits prior to enrolling. I also liked the small school because of the student to teacher ratio.

What is your major and why?

I am a Computer Science major because I took a course in CS my first semester at Moravian and I liked the subject so I continued pursuing it. I wanted to be an Economics major before I came to college because I have always been interested in how the economy works. I am also pursuing a minor in mathematics because I have always been good at math and I enjoy the subject.

What has been your favorite course at Moravian and why?

I enjoyed my Data Structures class, I thought the subject was very interesting and I learned a lot.

What are your plans for the future once you finish your degree at Moravian?

I want to get a job as a software engineer to start out, and then eventually pursue a masters in Computer Science and potentially a doctorate as well.

What is your most memorable moment as a Greyhound?

My most memorable moment was the entire football season freshman. We went 8-2 in the regular and got an opportunity to play in a post season game which does not happen for many teams at the division 3 level. It was memorable to part of such a good team.

How has being an athlete helped you as a student and in the classroom?

Being an athlete helps me manage my time better and get assignments done in a timely manner.

What is the hardest part of your sport?

The hardest part of playing football is being disciplined enough to stay focused through all the meetings, lifts and practices. We only play one game a week which means that everything leading up to the game requires a little more attention to detail.

Why do you wear your jersey number?

I wear 24 because I like it and Kobe wore 24. I was 34 my freshman year but I decided to switch jerseys because I liked 24 better.

Name one obstacle or form of adversity you have had to overcome.

Learning how to become a more vocal leader has been difficult for me. I am not a naturally vocal person, I prefer to stay quiet and just get things done without talking much. Since being at Moravian, I have been chosen as a leader by my peers and superiors which meant that I have had to learn how to be more vocal than I naturally am.

Why is community service important to your role as a student-athlete at Moravian College?

Community service is import because it is very valuable to give back to those in lesser situations than yourself. As an athlete, I am held to higher standard than those who are not athletes which means I have carry myself in a way that sets a good example to others. If I do what I can to give back to the community, then others might do the same and replicate my behavior.

What advice do you have for a prospective Moravian College student-athlete?

Work as hard as you can on and off the field. You only have 4 years to play college sports and you have to take advantage of everyone moment you have before its over. Putting in the work on the field pays off with individual and team success. Putting in the work off the field means earning the best grades that you can. It might not always be fun, but it will pay off in the long run when you are able to get a job, or get accepted into grad school where others do not because you worked harder.
