Field Hockey Falls to Arcadia in Non-Conference Match

Bethlehem, Pa.---The Moravian College field hockey team faced off with Arcadia University for a non-conference match Thursday night with the Hounds falling, 4-1, under the lights.

The Greyhounds would have four shots before recording their first goal. Sophomore forward Kyla Rodrigues would tie the game at 1-1 in the 22nd minute after the Knights had taken a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute. She found the upper left corner of the cage for her first goal of the season off of a pass from senior midfielder Catherine Duffin.

Arcadia would take the lead 2-1 heading into intermission.

Sophomore forward Erin Tiwold, senior forward Cayley Wise, senior midfielder/defender Bryn Tafuri and Duffin all recorded shots in the match, but despite the best effort from the Blue and Grey wouldn't catch the Knights who extended the lead, scoring in the 55th and 69th minute making the score 4-1.

Greyhounds sophomore goalkeeper Megan Kanyuk had four saves in the match.

The Hounds return to play on Saturday, September 13 for a 6:00 p.m. start in a non-conference match at William Paterson University.
