Moravian Adds Alumnus Marley to Field Hockey Coaching Staff

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College Head Field Hockey Coach Amy Endler is bringing back an alumnus of the program Emily Marley to join the coaching staff for the 2015 season.

"I am very excited to have Emily Marley on the staff as our full time graduate assistant coach," Endler stated. "Emily's success as a student-athlete while at Moravian will be a tremendous asset in recruiting, training, and mentoring, the next generation of Greyhound field hockey players."

Marley completed her degree mathematics and general science for education at Moravian this past May, and she was a three-time selection to the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll. Marley was also named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III National Academic Squad all four years of her career for maintaining over a 3.30 GPA during the fall academic semester while competing in the sport. She will be working towards her Master's of Education while coaching.

In her four seasons as a player, Marley saw action in 51 matches with 48 starters, and she missed over half of her sophomore campaign in 2012 with in an injury that also limited her number of matches the last two seasons. A defender, Marley made eight defensive saves during her career, and she also added one goal and one assist. Last fall, Marley was named to the Landmark Conference Fall All-Sportsmanship Team.

Moravian is reporting to preseason camp on Wednesday, August 19 and will begin practice on August 20 to prepare for the 2015 season opener versus DeSales University on Wednesday, September 2 at 4:00 p.m. at Betty Prince Field.
