ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Freshman forward Elisa Silecchia netted her first career goal; however, the Moravian College field hockey team dropped an 8-1 decision at Elizabethtown College in Landmark Conference action Wednesday.
Silecchia netted her goal in the 51st minute off of a pass from senior forward Kyla Rodrigues.
Senior goalie Megan Kanyuk recorded 17 saves in 61 minutes of action to raise her career total to 468 with 166 this season. Freshman Taya Edwards-Wentz added three saves over the final nine minutes of the match in her second action of the season.
Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, October 15 in a Landmark Conference match at The Catholic University of America beginning at 5:30 p.m. in Washington, D.C.
