Field Hockey Honors Seniors Before Final Home Match of 2016

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College field hockey team celebrated its five seniors Saturday prior to the team's final home match of the 2016 season as the Greyhounds fell to Juniata College, 4-0, on John Makuvek Field in Landmark Conference action.

The Hounds honored the careers of midfielder Christina Duddy, goalie Megan Kanyuk, defender Shauna Poling, forward Kyla Rodrigues and forward Erin Tiwold. Kanyuk and Tiwold are both out of the lineup with injuries but were able to play the first 11 seconds of the match before being subbed for.

Greyhound freshman goalie Taya Edwards-Wentz headed into the cage for Kanyuk and posted eight saves while junior midfielder/defender Katie Morrison added her fourth defensive save of the season.

Moravian is scheduled to play its final non-conference match of the year on Wednesday, October 26 when the squad heads to rival Muhlenberg College for a 7:30 p.m. match at Scotty Wood Stadium.
