TOWSON, Md. --- The 2016-17 season marks the 10th year anniversary for the Landmark Conference. To help celebrate, the Landmark is featuring individuals that have stood out over the past 10 years.
Athletes that were named All-Conference First Team a minimum of two times, and/or were named Landmark Player of the Year, during their career were nominated automatically, and each team had the opportunity to nominate additional individuals for consideration. The All-Decade team was selected by the membership and is being announced prior to the conference championship.
Catherine Duffin from the class of 2015 has been named to the Field Hockey All-Decade Team.
Duffin was a member of Moravian's field hockey team from 2011-2014. She was a four-time All-Conference selection, including a First Team nod in 2013. Duffin played in 68 games for the Greyhounds where she scored 32 goals, which ranked third in school history, and tallied a school-record 22 assists. She finished her career with 86 points, second in the Moravian record books, and Duffin was a three-time selection to the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll and made the National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Squad as a freshman.
"It is a great achievement for Catherine Duffin to be recognized as a member of the Landmark Conference All-Decade Team," stated Head Coach Amy Endler. "I am extremely happy for her and she certainly earned this honor. From the moment that Catherine stepped on the field here at Moravian she made an immediate impact. Throughout her four years, she not only made her teammates better, but also improved her skills each and every year. To be the only field hockey player at Moravian to be named all conference all four years is a testament to her hard work and dedication. The entire Moravian field hockey family is very proud of Catherine Duffin."
