DOYLESTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian College field hockey squad dropped a 6-1 non-conference decision at Delaware Valley University Thursday evening.

The Aggies jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the fifth minute; however, it only took the Greyhounds 4:15 to respond. On a scramble in front of the net on a penalty corner, freshman defender Zoe Karvan slid the ball across the goal crease to sophomore midfielder Olivia Schlofer, who knocked the ball into the net for her first goal of the season and the second tally of her career.

Delaware Valley moved back in front in the 13th minute, and the Aggies scored again in the 20th minute for a 3-1 lead at the intermission. Delaware Valley added three more goals in the second half.

Moravian freshman goalie Ashley Kunsman started in the cage and had three saves in 23 minutes of action while freshman keeper Sabrina Masone added seven saves in 47 minutes as she saw her first action of the season.

The Greyhounds are slated to get back in action on Friday, September 15 when the squad hosts Sweet Briar (Va.) College in a non-conference contest beginning at 5:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
