BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College field hockey team dropped a 2-1 overtime, non-conference match to Bryn Mawr College Tuesday evening on John Makuvek Field.

The Greyhounds took a 1-0 lead in the 34th minute when Bryn Mawr was called for stopping the ball illegally in the circle. Sophomore forward Olivia Schlofer buried the penalty stroke into the right side of the cage halfway up the netting for her fourth goal of the season.

The Owls tied the match in the 64th minute when a long shot by Bryn Mawr on a penalty corner deflected into the goal. The Owls had a chance late to win the match but the Moravian defense was able to keep the contest tied and send it into extra time.

Moravian had the first three shots of the extra session with freshman midfielder Erica Heaney putting a shot on goal in the 75th minute. Bryn Mawr netted the winning goal 90 seconds later on the Owls' only shot of the overtime.

Greyhounds' freshman goalie Ashley Kunsman recorded 10 saves in the contest

Moravian is slated to return to action on Saturday, September 30 in a Landmark Conference match at Drew University beginning at 1:00 p.m.
