Field Hockey Falls to Widener in Non-Conference Action

CHESTER, Pa. --- The Moravian College field hockey squad dropped a 4-0 non-conference decision at Widener University Wednesday evening.

The Pride jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute and would lead 3-0 at the intermission. Widener added a goal in the second half of the match.

Greyhounds' freshman goalie Ashley Kunsman made six saves while playing the first half of the match while freshman keeper Sabrina Masone had two saves in the second half of the contest.

Moravian is slated to return to action in a Landmark Conference match at Goucher College on Saturday, October 7 beginning at 1:00 p.m. in Towson, Maryland.
