BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College field hockey team dropped a 5-0 non-conference decision to rival Muhlenberg College on John Makuvek Field Wednesday evening.

Moravian had an early opportunity but junior midfielder Elizabeth Hrehovcik's attempt was stopped by the Muhlenberg keeper in the sixth minute and sophomore midfielder Sara Cruz had her follow up shot blocked. The Mules jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute, and then scored again five minutes later to push the advantage to 2-0, which would also be the halftime score.

Muhlenberg, which evened the 2017-18 Matte Award standings between the two rivals at 3-3 with the victory, added three more goals in the second half.

Freshman goalie Ashley Kunsman recorded 18 saves in the cage for the Blue and Grey.

The Greyhounds are slated to return to action on Saturday, October 21 when the squad heads to Juniata College for a Landmark Conference match beginning at 4:30 p.m. in Huntingdon.
