Field Hockey Falls in Overtime at DeSales in 2018 Opener

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. --- The Moravian College field hockey squad fell to DeSales University, 1-0 in overtime, in non-conference action on the road to start the 2018 season Friday evening.

The squads were scoreless through the 70 minutes of regulation play before the Bulldogs netted the game-winning goal 5:05 into overtime. Greyhound freshman Kendal Wilkes had all three of the Hounds' shots in the contest, putting two of them on goal.

Sophomore goalie Ashley Kunsman made nine saves for the Blue and Grey.

Moravian will open its 2018 home season on Sunday, September 2 when the squad welcomes Ramapo College of New Jersey to John Makuvek Field for a non-conference contest beginning at 12:00 p.m.
