Karvan Nets First Career Goal but Greyhounds Fall at Susquehanna

SELINSGROVE, Pa. --- The Moravian College field hockey team dropped a 2-1 decision at Susquehanna University in Landmark Conference action Saturday afternoon.

The River Hawks broke a scoreless tie in the 44th minute, and Susquehanna built a 2-0 lead in the 53rd minute. The Greyhounds would get on the scoreboard in the 65th minute when sophomore defender Zoe Karvan scored her first collegiate goal.

Moravian sophomore goalie Ashley Kunsman had 17 saves while junior defender Devyn Lapp recorded a defensive save.

The Hounds are slated to return to action on Saturday, October 6 when the squad travels to The University of Scranton for a Landmark Conference contest beginning at 1:00 p.m.
