BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College field hockey team fell to Marywood University, 1-0, in the sixth minute of overtime action in a hard-fought match on John Makuvek Field as the Greyhounds played their final non-conference contest of the 2018 season.

The Hounds controlled play early, getting a pair of penalty corners in the first 1:10 and two shots and a total of three penalty corners in the first three minutes of action. The contest went to the intermission scoreless in large part because of sophomore goalie Ashley Kunsman coming up with five saves in the first 35 minutes of action.

The second half would be much of the same with each team getting shots, and Kunsman making another four saves before the end of regulation to keep the contest deadlocked at 0-0.

Moravian controlled play early in the overtime with a shot on goal by sophomore midfielder Mae Dienes a little over two minutes into the extra session. Moravian would earn a penalty corner but freshman midfielder Olivia Emrick's shot was wide. The Pacers would flip the field, earning two penalty corners and scoring on a rebound of a blocked shot on the second one to end the match.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to close out the 2018 season on Saturday, October 27 when the squad hosts Goucher College in a Landmark Conference match with action beginning at 1:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field. Moravian will also be celebrating Senior Day on Saturday.
