Moravian Ranked in NCAA Division III Field Hockey Regional Rankings for First Time in Program History

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The Moravian University field hockey squad has moved into fifth in Region V in the latest NCAA Division III Regional Rankings released Wednesday.

The Greyhounds, who are in the midst of a historic season under second-year Head Coach Sarah Dalyrmple in her first season on the field, are 14-2 on the year and earned the top seed in the 2021 Landmark Conference Tournament. Moravian's regional ranking is the first for the program and adds to a list of firsts this fall that also includes new school records for wins in a season (14), road wins in a season (7), consecutive wins (10), goals (58), assists (42) and points (158).

The Blue and Grey have defeated two of the other teams ranked in Region V with Landmark Conference victories over No. 3 Susquehanna University (3-2 in overtime) and No. 6 The University of Scranton (2-1). Moravian also has wins over two ranked teams in Region IV, defeating No. 4 Ramapo College of New Jersey (3-2) and No. 5 Misericordia University (4-2).

The Hounds are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, November 3 when the squad hosts fourth seed The Catholic University of America in a Landmark Conference Semifinal match beginning at 7:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
