Why did you choose Moravian College?

I chose Moravian College for two reasons. One was because I loved the family oriented feeling I got when I came to visit and also because my sister was already here and I could not imagine going through another two years of school without her.

What is your major and why?

My major is special education with a certification in Early Childhood Education. I have always wanted to be an elementary teacher since I was little and Moravian has such great education program.

What has been your favorite course at Moravian and why?

My favorite course at Moravian has to be any and every education course I have taken thus far. The professors are so passionate about what they are teaching that it makes me more excited for my life once I graduate.

What are your plans for the future once you finish your degree at Moravian?

Once I finish my degree at Moravian, I am hoping to move down south to North Carolina and find a teaching job close to where my extended family is.

What is your most memorable moment as a Greyhound?

My most memorable moment as a Greyhound is probably being able to play on the same field as my sister for two years. She pushes me to be a better player on the field and a better person off the field.

How has being an athlete helped you as a student?

Being an athlete has taught me to stay motivated and always give 110% in my studies.

What is the hardest part of your sport?

The hardest part of my sport is balancing practices and games with my academic life. It takes a lot of work but I always try my best to give equal amount of time and effort.

Why do you wear your jersey number?

I wear my jersey number for all of the people who aren’t able to be physically active.

Name one obstacle or form of adversity you have had to overcome?

One obstacle I have had to overcome was during my freshmen season; I had to adapt to the higher level of play almost immediately if I wanted to prove myself.

Why is community service important to your role as a student-athlete at Moravian?

Community service is important to me because I want to be a great leader on and off the field and also because it makes me feel good when I give back to the community.

What advice do you have for a prospective Moravian College student-athlete?

Always try your hardest whether you are in practice, a game, or even in the classroom. Being a student-athlete means being a positive role model for your fellow peers so you always need to give 100% or more.
