Why did you choose Moravian College?

I chose Moravian because I love the small campus atmosphere. I love having all of my professors know my name and know a little bit about each student’s personal life.

What is your major and why?

I am a health science major following a physical therapy track. I chose this because I love science and I love the idea of helping someone recover.

What has been your favorite course at Moravian and why?

It’s hard to choose just one class, I have had such great experiences with classes within my major along with my electives. I really loved Spanish 1 because I had a great professor that made it fun to learn a new language.I also really loved Anatomy 1 and 2 because it expanded my knowledge on the human body.

What are your plans for the future once you finish your degree at Moravian?

Once I finish with my degree at Moravian, I plan to apply to Moravians Physical Therapy program and receive a DPT.

What is your most memorable moment as a Greyhound?

The most memorable moment as a Greyhound so far is probably playing our first game on the new turf! It was under the lights which made it so much more exciting. I will never forget the feeling of adrenaline running through my body.

How has being an athlete helped you as a student?

Being an athlete has made my college experience unforgettable. Knowing that I always have the support of my teammates not only on the field but in the classroom as well is a great feeling.  It has also helped me manage my time which is crucial.

What is the hardest part of your sport?

The hardest part of my sport, or any sport, is the time commitment but if you love what you are doing it does not feel hard or forced.

Why do you wear your jersey number?

I chose number 13 because I like to be different, I think it brings luck!

Name one obstacle or form of adversity you have had to overcome.

An obstacle I had to overcome, along with many other freshmen athletes, was learning to bond to a completely new group of girls. Luckily, my team was very welcoming and I adjusted quickly.

Why is community service important to your role as a student-athlete at Moravian?

It’s important to take part in community service as a student-athlete because we represent the school. We have to be the ones who make an impact and support the people around us because the community supports our school.

What advice do you have for a prospective Moravian College student-athlete?

Joining athletics was probably one of the best decisions I made coming into college. It is an intimidating task to take on but knowing you have your teammates supporting you is a great feeling.
