Phil Danaher is in his first year as the assistant field hockey coach for Moravian College. Danaher began his field hockey career having been recruited from the track team at the University of Arizona. He was named the University of Arizona Club Sport Athlete of The Year and joined the USA U21 Field Hockey Squad during his first year playing. The following year Phil moved to the USA Senior National Training Squad preparing for the 1984 Olympics. ACL tears in both knees curtailed Phil's Olympic dreams, but 30 years later he is still playing as part of the USA Men's Masters World Cup Team. Phil has coached a number of club and high school teams as well as officiated countless games. In his free time, Phil coaches the club team Mystic Hockey and constructs field hockey sticks for Phoenix Hockey Sticks.
